How can we help?

Popular questions

How do I start?

Create an account and you’re straight in — your 7-day free trial starts immediately, with no credit card. There’s no confirmation email to wait for and no setup to get through.

Do I need to create an account?

Yes — an account is what holds your progress, daily goal, streak, and saved words, and keeps them in sync across your phone, tablet, and the web. It takes an email and a password, and you land in the app right away.

How are the lessons organized?

Two ways: a guided path of 12 levels and 80+ lessons, or browse by theme — family, food, travel, shopping, health and more — to jump straight to what you need.

How does each word or phrase appear?

On a single card with the Cyrillic, the pronunciation, the meaning, and a note on whether it’s formal or informal — tap it to hear a native voice.

Can I save words I want to remember?

Yes — tap the heart on any word, phrase, or translation and it’s kept in your Saved collection, synced to your account and there on any device you sign in on.

How do I go back over what I’ve learned?

Tap the heart on any word, phrase, or lesson and it lands in your Saved collection, where it stays until you remove it. Open the Saved tab whenever you want to run back through them.

How does the translator work?

Three ways: type it, speak it, or point your camera at a sign or menu. It auto-detects the language in both directions and reads the result back in a native voice.

Can I change the voice or playback speed?

Yes — open Profile → Appearance to switch the voice and slow playback down. Tapping any word re-triggers it at your chosen speed.

The audio isn’t playing — what do I do?

Make sure your device isn’t on silent and that a Russian voice is installed in your system settings. Tapping any word re-triggers playback.

What does it cost?

$59.99 a year ($5.00 a month), or $11.99 month-to-month. It’s one app at one price — both plans include everything — and both start with a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card.

How do I cancel?

Profile → Subscription → Manage billing. This is a web app, so there’s no App Store or Google Play subscription involved. Your access continues until the period you’ve paid for ends.

Signing in on another device

Install the app, tap Sign in, and use the same email or social login. Everything you’ve learned and saved appears within a few seconds.

Deleting your account

To delete your account, contact us and we’ll permanently remove your account and all of its data.

Lessons & progressLevels, themes, marking lessons complete, your daily goal

Two ways to learn

Follow the guided Path — 12 levels and 80+ lessons that build step by step — or open Categories to browse by theme like family, food, travel, shopping, and health, and jump straight to what you need.

Inside a lesson

  • Each word or phrase arrives on a single card: the Cyrillic, its pronunciation, and the meaning.
  • Tap any card to hear a native voice say it; read the phonetic line and repeat out loud.
  • Check off words as they stick — the progress bar fills as you go.

Marking a lesson complete

When you’ve worked through a list, tap Mark complete. The lesson is ticked on your Path and feeds into your overall progress.

Your daily goal & streak

Set a daily goal in Profile → Daily goal. Meet it and your streak grows — but miss a day and nothing is lost; we track what you’ve learned, not how guilty you feel.

Coming back to what you’ve saved

Anything you heart lands in your Saved collection, grouped so you can find it again — words, phrases, and whole lessons. Revisit it whenever you like; nothing expires.

Audio & speakingPronunciation, the translator, Live mode, voice settings

Hearing any word

Tap any Russian word, phrase, or letter to hear a native voice. Tap again to replay it as many times as you like.

Voice & speed settings

Open Profile → Appearance to switch the voice and slow playback down when a sound is tricky. Your choice applies everywhere audio plays.

The translator

  • Type it — enter text in English or Russian; it auto-detects the direction.
  • Speak it — tap the mic and say a phrase out loud.
  • Camera — point at a sign or menu to translate it in place.

Every result reads back in a native voice and can be hearted to your Saved collection.

Live conversation

Open Translate → Live to rehearse a real back-and-forth — it listens, translates each turn, and reads both sides aloud.

If audio won’t play

Make sure your device isn’t on silent and that a Russian voice is installed in your system settings. Tapping any word re-triggers playback; still stuck? Let us know.
